Sounds of Silence: Two Cities Under Covid-19 Shutdown March 21, 2020 at 12:38AM

The distressing rise in the number of COVID-19 cases across the world has set alarm bells ringing. With reports of over 2,75,000 global cases making headlines as of March 21, countries have scrambled to issue a series of travel bans and advisories to try and contain the spread of the virus. They have also advised its citizens to follow the practice of social distancing and to stay at home. The mind boggles at how these guidelines will impact major metropolitan cities across the world. Seeking answers, and donned in safety gear, two photographers in different parts of the world set out last week to document two major metros—New York and Delhi—and how they’re faring in the midst of the coronavirus pandemic.
